Helping business and property owners identify and overcome challenges

Personal attention for your business

If you are starting a new business or trying to grow your existing business, a trusted legal advisor can help you avoid and overcome difficulties, claims, and other challenges.

Hello. I’m Adam King, a Tampa Florida construction lawyer. It can be difficult for a new venture or small business to find efficient and cost-effective legal counsel.  Most law firms cater to large businesses because they typically have numerous active legal matters and they are not as sensitive to legal rates and costs. These law firms have associate attorneys, who essentially are learning on the job, perform the majority of the legal work.  This approach doesn’t work for new or small businesses who need efficient and cost-effective legal assistance.

I have more than 20 years of experience with business disputes and litigation.  During the majority of this time, I worked for a larger, multi-state law firm representing companies like building contractors, subcontractors, developers, and their insurance companies. I have experience prosecuting and defending a wide range of disputes, lawsuits, and arbitration proceedings, including business collection and payment disputes, construction defect claims, product manufacturing defect claims, negligence claims, and bond claims, among many others.  This background and experience allows me to provide efficient and cost-effective legal representation on a smaller scale that is tailored to new, small, or midsize businesses.

My firm will provide personalized and focused attention that you typically do not get at a large firm.  As a law firm owner, I have many of the same concerns as my small business clients.  My goal is to use this knowledge and experience to help you navigate the issues facing your business.  I can assist with matters ranging from starting a new business to succession planning, including any claims, litigation, or other hurdles along the way.

If you are planning on starting a new business or need representation for your existing business, schedule a consultation. I look forward to working with you.

Most small and new business matters will be billed on a flat fee basis. Most litigation and arbitration matters are billed on an hourly basis because it is difficult to forecast the amount of time involved. If your matter involves collection of accounts receivable or similar claims, we can consider a contingency fee or a combination of flat and contingency fees.
