About Adam C. King, Attorney
Mr. King has handled business disputes and litigation for more than 20 years. He has tried jury and non-jury cases in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts, and prosecuted and defended complex American Arbitration Association proceedings and Federal Multi-District Complex Litigation Proceedings involving contractors, insurance companies, and bond sureties.
His practice has included advising and representing businesses, project owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, insurance carriers, and sureties with respect to commercial developments, high-rise buildings, hotels, condominium projects, homeowners’ association complexes, apartments, custom homes, and environmental remediation sites. A key focus of his work was evaluating and prosecuting indemnity, additional insured, subrogation rights, and negligence claims against design professionals, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and product manufacturers.
Mr. King also has extensive experience with commercial general liability insurance claims, including coverage evaluations, prosecution and defense of construction defect product liability claims, declaratory actions involving insureds and insurance carriers, and subrogation and recovery actions.
Mr. King previously was a shareholder of the Tampa office of a midsize, multi-state firm where his practice focused on litigation, construction defect claims, and subrogation claims.
Adam is a Florida native – he grew up in Brandon, Florida and graduated from Bloomingdale High School. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Florida State University and his law degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Adam lives in Tampa Palms. In his free time, he enjoys golf, fishing, and playing pickleball.
